Hi everyone! As I promised in ‘Fashion Weeks Time’ post, here you are all the new styles and trends of the past Semaine de la Mode!
I’m going to present you the hottest designers who showed in New York, London, Milan and Paris. LET’S START FROM NEW YORK!
What’s new in New York S/S 2012 collections? Colours, first of all! Divided into two different trends: one betting on fluo colours as red-orange, electric blue, lemon yellow and touches of acid green. The other preferring a pastel colours palette, made of lilac, indigo and pale rose. Only a few designers have opted for a classic black’n’white or grey’n’white collection.
After the colours, the shapes: Fifties are back, through the thight either below-knee or long to the feet skirts, close-fitting below-knee dresses and either wedge-shaped or sometimes short trousers. The waist is slim and often underlined by medium-thick coloured ton-sur-ton or in contrast belts. Jackets are present hither and yon, smooth, plain, self-coloured and left opened, mostly with a long thin reverse and with no buttons, usually put on trousers. Tops are soft, sometimes flare, with loose medium sleeves. Finaly, textures are as soft as silk, and there are lots of tranparencies too.
